Sojourn Church our gatherings
Our Weekly Worship Gathering
Each Sunday night the entire Sojourn community gathers together.  Right now we are gathering at Faith Reformed Clarion Space with a starting time of 6:07 pm (yes, 6:07). During this time we chat, hang, sing, pray, listen, learn and teach.  We really want this to be a time to slow down and encounter one another and God.  We want this to be a time where we experience His holy presence.  This gathering is interactive, informal and for the whole family.  You can truly "come as you are" (well unless you are reading this in the shower so in that case put on some clothes, then come as you are).

Home Gatherings
Our community also gathers in smaller groups usually in homes, although they really can meet anywhere.  These gatherings allow us to form relationships at a deeper level.  These gatherings also will include prayer, study, discussion, hanging out, food and plain old fashion fun.  Each gathering takes on its own identity and personality.  We do not over program these gatherings and allow each gathering to work out for itself how it best functions.  Some of these gatherings can include the whole family, some may just be adults.  We also have Home Gatherings for children, junior and senior high as well as young adults.  If you would like more information on how to get involved in one of these gatherings please feel free to email us or talk to one of the pastors. Contact Us.

Special Gatherings
There are also many other types of gatherings taking place through out the year.  These would include youth and church wide retreats, special worship gatherings, Monday night basketball, Ladies Night Outs, Youth Bowling and Pizza, Etc... Another type of special gathering takes place over the Internet.  Email, websites and blogs allow us to dialogue through out the week.  There are many of us who have our own blogs.  Here we can share our struggles, questions and ideas.  Feel free to join us here.

GO! Nights
Our community sees the church as a living organism that is best described in the Bible as a body. We are part of the body of Christ. We view Sojourn as a community that gathers together as well as a community that goes together to be the feet and hands of Jesus. One way this is done through GO! (Get Out) Nights which places an emphasis on compassion and missional living. GO! Nights remind us that we not only come and gather, but also we are to go and influence our world as we bring healing and hope to a broken world. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&countryid=250&addtohistory=&searchtab=address&searchtype=address&address=1139+East+Front+Street&city=Traverse+City&state=MI&zipcode=49686&search=++SearchContact.htmlshapeimage_4_link_0shapeimage_4_link_1
Church is people.  Church is community.  So whenever the people of the church "gather" you are "being" the church.  It is actually impossible to "go to” church.  So, the people of Sojourn, the community of Sojourn, that's you and me gather together in many different ways, in many places and in many sizes.  And here is the most important thing...where ever and how ever you connect to our community you are a part of the community of Sojourn.  about us values creed strategy gatherings other stuff contact us blog home
